Able Seaman Idwal Pritchard onboard Blue Funnel's Talthybius in 1947. With him is Gwilym Owen, who went on to become a Blue Funnel master. Idwal's father, Evan R. Pritchard, was c\o of a Talthybius in 1930, while brother Glynne was 3\O on yet another Talthybius in 1961. This latter ship was an old 'Victory' ship, the Salina Victory.
