A brief visitor to the Holyhead - Dun Laoghaire service during spring 1996 was the chartered Newhaven - Dieppe ferry Stena Londoner. Fresh from Fishguard where she had provided overhaul relief for the Stena Felicity, the ship was pressed into service at Holyhead following delays with the entry into service of the HSS Stena Explorer and in so doing, became the last ship to carry the Sealink brand on the Irish Sea. Entering service in 1974 as the Stena Danica, she was one of a class of similar ships which included the Stena Scandinavica, later Irish Ferries' Saint Killian II

Returned to her French owners by Stena Line in June 1996 the ship was renamed SeaFrance Monet for Calais - Dover service. In May 2000 she was sold to Spanish operator Armas however in January 2005 she suffered serious grounding damage resulting her her sale for breaking up in Turkey later that year.
