Ulysses

Built by Aker Finnyards in Rauma, Finland, the Euro100mn Ulysses, in its scale, grandeur and technical specification, set new standards for the construction of passenger ferries in the 21st century. The ship is named in honour of James Joyce's Ulysses, the book that immortalised the life of Dublin on 16 June 1904. She stands 12 decks high and towers above other vessels at a height of 51 metres from keel to mast. With almost three miles of parking space for 1342 cars or 240 articulated trucks per sailing no other passenger car ferry in the world can match her vehicle carrying capacity.
