Located on the east side of the inner harbour, occupying berths 5 & 6, the Freightliner Terminal was equipped with two 30 ton Wellman Transport cranes for ship to shore movements and two 30 ton Goliath cranes for rail to road transfer. The storage capacity of the terminal was around 700 TEU's (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) with customs clearance available on the spot. Sealink's own fleet of lorries and trailers fed the cranes and ship discharge/loading rates of over 30 containers per hour were the norm.
